Fellowship is unveiling a digital retrospective on Foundation celebrating the remarkable legacy of the esteemed late photographer, Larry Fink. Curated by Holly Hay, Fellowships Photography Director, this retrospective showcases more than 50 pieces from Fink's distinguished career spanning over 65 years. The complete collection, which comprises over 500 iconic works, will be released in a series of thoughtfully curated groups, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in Fink's captivating journey.
"A Life of Looking" offers a glimpse into Fink’s artistic evolution, from his early days capturing scenes on Wall Street to the vibrant energy of Studio 54. Through his lens, Fink captures stolen moments at society parties and explores the beauty of new still lifes on his Pennsylvania farm. Renowned for his ability to reveal hidden intimacies and extremes, Fink's photography uncovers the untold stories of people and objects, capturing the nuances of everyday life with unparalleled depth and authenticity.
Viscerality is my perceptual mode. Simply spoken,it means that I want to touch everything that I love. Hopefully my pictures are a testimony to the love of the senses.
In addition to the retrospective, Fellowship announced to debut ‘FINK’ – an intimate short documentary directed by Lisa Schiller. This cinematic journey invites viewers into the world of Larry Fink, offering a rare glimpse into his life and creative process. Through behind-the-scenes footage and intimate interviews, 'FINK' provides an unprecedented look at the man behind the lens, shedding light on the inspiration and passion that drove his iconic imagery. From intimate family portraits to powerful political commentary, Fink's work spans a wide spectrum of subjects, showcasing his adventurous and versatile approach to storytelling through imagery.

Artist Bio
For over fifty-five years, Larry Fink has been a professional photographer, showcasing his work in prestigious venues such as the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of Modern Art in New York, as well as in Europe at museums like Musee de l’Elysee and Musee de la Photographie. He earned accolades such as the "Best of Show" at the Arles Festival of Photography in France and the Lucie Award for Documentary Photography in 2017, along with receiving the International Center for Photography Infinity Award in 2015. Fink's influence extends to academia, where he has taught for over fifty-two years at institutions like Yale University and Bard College. With a portfolio spanning twelve monographs and collaborations with publications like The New Yorker and Vanity Fair, Fink continues to push boundaries in the world of photography, recently collaborating with fashion house Jil Sander in Milan. His recent exhibitions at venues such as Giorgio Armani's Armani/Silos and the Newport Museum of Art demonstrate the enduring impact of his work, which ranges from documenting the 1960s New York scene to capturing contemporary events like the Women’s March on Washington, D.C.
