Under the guidance of Michele Colonna, Colonna Contemporary launched Narratiff, an innovative platform leading the convergence of fine art photography and the limitless capabilities of digital technology. With the aim of closing the divide between conventional artistry and modern digital advancements, Narratiff introduces a fresh realm of immersive storytelling, forging unprecedented connections between artists and audiences.
A New Era of Storytelling
Narratiff emerges in response to the digital age's challenge to traditional art forms, offering a groundbreaking platform that not only showcases but also elevates the art of storytelling through photography. By integrating blockchain technology, Narratiff provides a secure and innovative space for artists to share their visions, offering collectors a unique opportunity to engage with art on a multi-dimensional level.
360º Narrative Experiences
At the heart of Narratiff is the commitment to create 360º narrative experiences that encompass digital, physical, audio, and written forms. This approach allows for a deeper connection with the art, granting access to the artist's process, vision, and the stories behind each piece. From NFTs and limited edition prints to recorded interviews and longform essays, Narratiff is redefining what it means to collect and experience art.
Empowering Artists and Collectors
Narratiff is not just a platform; it's a community. It empowers artists by providing them with the tools to protect their work, share their stories, and reach a global audience. For collectors, Narratiff offers an unparalleled opportunity to own not just a piece of art, but a part of its history and soul, making each collection a deeply personal and valuable experience.
"We believe that the future of art lies in our ability to adapt and innovate," said Michele Colonna founder of Colonna Contemporary. "Narratiff is more than a platform; it's a movement towards a new era of art and storytelling. We are excited to invite artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts to join us on this journey."
Narratiff is set to host a series of exclusive projects, starting with "Where Dinosaurs Walked" by Heather N. Stout, a compelling exploration of the American Southwest's ancient landscapes. This project exemplifies Narratiff's vision to offer profound, story-driven art experiences that resonate with audiences worldwide. Next in line will be lens-based artist Peter Nitsch with his work Beacon, followed by Natascia Mercurio presenting On the Outside Looking In.
Heather N. Stout artist statement: Where Dinosaurs Walked
For millions of years, the Triple Junction in the American Southwest has undergone great changes, leaving the extraordinary landscape we see today. Three physiological regions, The Mojave Desert, The Colorado Plateau, and The Great Basin all come together to form ancient reminders that jut from the Earth. Wide open skies cast deep shadows on the memories of these ancient events. The winds blow through the canyons as a constant reminder of change. Remnants from Beast and Human speckle landscapes colored with various hues of deep oranges, blues, browns and greens that shift with the southern light. These provinces spark the imagination with wonder and are at the threshold of an unforeseen future. Layers of sediment reveal Dinosaurs and their tracks, a hopeful sight held within our childhood hearts. Resilient flora and seldom seen fauna adapt or disappear in these intertwined landscapes of natural creation and man-made spectacle.

This unique environment, with its aged tales, reveals a past we still have so much to learn from, and an uncertain future. From the Hurricane Fault Line comes, “Where Dinosaurs Walked”- A journey guided by reading the landscape, research, and quiet observation. The spectacular beauty of the region is overshadowed by the quickening of unsustainable expansion.
Photography helps to preserve these memories we experience with awe that have stood the test of time. This form of documentation may become extremely important for our present moment in history and of the world we inhabit. There are parallels to be drawn from the chipping away of this profound landscape and the future of this exquisite medium.
